English Early Intervention in Bad Bramstedt has existed since 1998 - it was born out of my desire to provide my own children with foreign language early education.
WHO AM I?
My name is Kirsten Schlüter-Lerch, born in 1956, and I first heard about Foreign Language Early Intervention English from a friend of mine in Munich in 1997, and thought it was an exaggerated educational dictate of the Free State of Bavaria. She then explained to me that early intervention is offered in the afternoon, independent of school.
PROJECT ENGLISH EARLY EDUCATION
Curious about the project, I contacted the linguist Leonora Fröhlich-Ward. She is considered the "inventor" of early English language learning. The chemistry was right and together we set up various workshops in Munich and a trainer came to Bad Bramstedt to explain to me how to teach English in a practical way.
MAKE THEM TALK!
English native speakers were fortunately quickly found and under the supervision of Leonora Fröhlich-Ward, our first "real" lesson took place in 1998 at the primary school at the railway station. So we divided 8 - 10 children according to their abilities. All primary schools of the school association offered fun with English. Our task was, and still is, to make the children speak... MAKE THEM TALK. Playfully, NOT playfully, the children were and are introduced to the English language. Because language is not reading and writing, language is speaking! "My" first ENGLISH-KIDS have already left school and are shining with their English grades!
THE ADULTS ALSO WANT TO TALK!
Attentive to the linguistic success of their children, the parents asked us to improve their English with so much fun. In 2003 I founded the Time-To-Talk here in Bad Bramstedt. Here, adults and teenagers can use our ENGLISH-STYLE SITTING-ROOM to simply TALK in a relaxed atmosphere and thus improve and deepen their English.
WHY ENGLISH AT TIME-TO-TALK?
Over 1,500 people have learned to speak English here in almost 20 years - from small to large, from young to old - and always with joy and liveliness! At the moment there are over 25 different courses on offer. 15 courses take place at Time-to-Talk and 10 externally... Find out about the different courses.
